I don’t want to spend money on a new Netgear router especially when they may not have one compatible with Windows 8. At the time, I had Windows 7 and no problems with connection. I just purchased the Netgear in March when I signed up for Cable internet Netgear does not have a software update for Windows 8. That I couldn’t use my Netgear without restarting it each time I turned on my computer. I learned after hours of phone calls to Netgear and Microsoft and emails to Netgear support I have a HP Pavilion laptop with Windows 8 64 bit and Netgear N 300,WNR2000v3.
